Mike Maignan Injury Update

AC Milan Goalkeeper to Undergo Surgery

Milan confirms injury to Maignan's right thigh muscle

AC Milan has confirmed that goalkeeper Mike Maignan underwent an arthroscopic exam on Wednesday, which revealed an injury to his right thigh muscle. The injury will require surgery, and Maignan is expected to be out for an extended period.

The French international has been a key player for Milan this season, making 15 appearances in all competitions. He has kept six clean sheets and has conceded just 12 goals.

Maignan's injury is a major blow to Milan, who are currently top of the Serie A table. The club will now be forced to rely on backup goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu for the foreseeable future.

Milan's next match is against Hellas Verona on Saturday, and it is unclear if Tatarusanu will be fit to play. If he is not, Milan will have to turn to third-choice goalkeeper Antonio Mirante.
